XCharge Europe was named as finalist of the The smarter E AWARD 2024 in the Category "E-Mobility" for the application of its Net Zero Series (NZS).
The Net Zero Series (NZS) from XCharge Europe GmbH is a battery-integrated, all-in-one DC charging station. The charging station comes with two charging points and 210 kW maximum charging power. The integrated battery storage system has a capacity of 233 kWh (variant with one "wing") and can be doubled to 466 kWh if required (variant with two "wings"). Thanks to the energy storage buffer, the charging station can be operated on a much smaller grid connection than would otherwise be the case. Just 30 or 60 kW of connected load are sufficient to provide the maximum possible charging power, with 150 kW coming from the battery, and 30 or 60 kW coming from the grid. The battery is charged from the grid whenever no vehicle is being charged, or when the charging power is low. XCharge are also developing a B2G (battery-to-grid) function, where the battery can feed any unused energy back into the power grid, reducing the load on the local grid. 22 or 44 kVA solutions should soon be available.
