EcoG was named as winner of the The smarter E AWARD 2024 in the Category "E-Mobility" for the application of its EcoG Connect.
When it comes to the expansion of a high-performance fast charging infrastructure, EcoG’s central power units can help minimize costs. To tap into this cost savings potential, which, according to EcoG, is up to 25 percent, the power must be distributed across the charging points (dispensers) according to the demand. This makes providing full performance for each charging point unnecessary, reducing the maximum installed charging capacity needed. That’s where the EcoG Connect powerblock, a unit comprising power modules and a switching matrix, comes in. The switching matrix enables the charging power to be allocated between charging points as required. The system is hardware independent and is already compatible with dispensers from many different hardware manufacturers. One Connect is able to provide and allocate up to 1 MW of charging power.
