The Red Sea Destination Renewable Utilities Infrastructure by Red Sea Global

This resort in Saudi Arabia aims to create the world’s largest tourism destination powered exclusively by clean energy. Their objective is to achieve net-zero emissions in the operation of their 16 hotels, retail and entertainment facilities by 2030 and to supply 100 percent renewable energy around the clock. Electric vehicles will also be made available to the guests. To this end, five solar parks supplying renewable energy are installed, covering an area of 28,000 km². The off-grid battery storage system with a capacity of 1,300 MWh is already supplied with electricity by more than 760,000 photovoltaic modules, ensuring a continuous power supply. In this context, Saudi Arabia is aiming to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2060.
